Oluwole O Odujinrin, MD MPH FACP
President and CMO
Dr Odujinrin is the Founder and President of Customized Therapeutics. He brings extensive experience in the fields of Medical Oncology, Clinical Pharmacology, Regulatory affairs and Cell biology with direct applicability to diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
He received his MD degree from SUNY at Buffalo. His Medical Oncology training was at Yale University and Clinical Pharmacology training was at Yale and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. He also has an MPH degree from the UCLA School of Public Health.
He began his professional career at the University of Southern California (USC) from Assistant Professor to Professor of Clinical Medicine level. He was one of the pioneering physicians that developed the Clinical Facility and Physician Training plans and projects for the first NCI designated Cancer Center west of the Mississippi that evolved into what is now the Kenneth Norris Cancer Center at the University of Southern California.
He was a Senior staff physician at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte California where he was involved in cancer research, patient care and teaching of Oncology Fellows.
Dr Odujinrin later served as a Medical Officer in the Oncology Products Review division of the FDA, where he was responsible for review, approval and monitoring of new applications for Oncology products (INDs and NDAs) submitted to the Agency's Center for Drug Evaluation and Review (CDER). He subsequently served as Medical Director of Cell Therapeutics Inc. a Seattle, Washington pharmaceutical company that develops and markets anti-cancer drugs.
Dr. Odujinrin is a Certified Physician Investigator, a member of the Board Certification Committee of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Physicians(AAPP) / Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). The committee developed the first test for physicians seeking Certification as Clinical Research Professionals in order to ensure that physicians engaged in human clinical trials have the requisite skills and knowledge to do so, beyond having a Medical degree.
Dr Odujinrin is a practicing Board Certified Oncologist with direct ties to community physicians and their patients. He is therefore well placed to bring clinical concerns to the laboratory from the clinics. This forms the basis for the "reverse" product development paradigm that is fundamental to Customized Therapeutic product acquisition and commercialization processes.
He is a member of numerous national and international societies that focus on cancer research and treatment. He also brings extensive national and international networking relationships with industry executives, leaders in major academic institutions, government and the medical profession.
Rakesh Penmetsa, MBS, BE
Director, Strategic Technology Development
Mr. Penmetsa is the Director of Strategic Technology Development. He has a background in biosciences and business, and has been a member of Customized Therapeutics since its inception in 2004. Mr. Penmetsa graduated with a Master of Bioscience degree from the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences, Claremont CA, focusing on Bioengineering and Business of life sciences. He brings experience in market research, intellectual portfolio analysis and business valuation. He participated actively in the due diligence activities of a local Angel investment firm gaining valuable experience in the evaluation of new technologies and business opportunities in life sciences, which he followed as a new venture evaluation member of a business incubator at the Drucker School of Management, Claremont CA. Mr. Penmetsa has also been on a team analyzing the technology aspects and business viability of the setup of a new Proton Beam Cancer Therapy center in Florida
Manager of Financial Operations
Ms. Carter brings her experience in financial management and databases to assist in the management of financial operations at Customized Therapeutics. She also oversees the human resources management and provides training to the office staff
Olubunmi Abayomi, MD
Expertise: Radiation Oncology
Dr. Abayomi is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Virginia and a practicing oncologist at the Virginia Community University Medical Center. He brings his valuable experience of over 32 years as an oncologist.
Anthony C. Dike, MD FACP
Expertise: Informatics, Database development
Dr Dike is a Board Certified Physician in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is the Founder of InterCare Vascular Diagnostic Center (www.intercare.com) and CG Communications(www.cgics.com) . He is a Consultant to Customized Therapeutics in the development and application of Electronic Systems to the Company's operations in Clinical Oncology and Pharmaceutical Research. He is a prolific developer of software systems for application in different areas of clinical medicine, especially cardiovascular disorders, health systems integration and planning; as well as Telemedicine.
Beverly James, MD
Expertise: Clinical Pathology
Dr. James is the Co-Director of the Department of Pathology at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (HPMC) in Hollywood, California. She has considerable experience in the field of clinical pathology and also provides access to tissue specimens of patients of multiethnic origins
Ogbemi Omatete, PhD
Expertise: Chemical Engineering, Materials Science
Dr. Omatete retired from the US Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) in Tennessee, as a senior development staff member in material science where his major research interests were in ceramic processing and CO2 sequestration. He joined ORNL in 1988. At ORNL, Dr. Omatete became a co-inventor of the aqueous gelcasting process for forming complex-shaped ceramic components. He has 5 US patents and several publications, and has made numerous presentations all over the world. The gelcasting process was licensed by several companies. He also became the pioneer DOE personnel loaned to a private company to develop an ORNL process.
Dr. Omatete obtained a BSE with honors in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, and both MSE in Chemical Engineering and MPA in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton. He received a PhD also in Chemical Engineering and did post-doctoral work, at the University of California, Berkeley.
He has won many awards including the prestigious R&D 100, Advanced Technology Award by the Inventors Club of America, Award of Excellence for Technology Transfer by the Federal Laboratory Consortium, amongst others.
Dr. Omatete brings to Customized Therapeutics, knowledge and expertise in Material Science and relationship building with government national labs and Universities with major programs in material sciences with potential for fabricating particles that are useful for medical applications.
David Smith, PhD
Expertise: Biostatistics, Clinical Trial Design and Analysis
Dr Smith has a broad experience in, meta-analysis, particularly the design and analysis of drug development and cancer clinical trials, expertise in statistical programming and meta-analysis methodology. He is well versed in Microarray / Gene Expression analyses. Dr Smith was a biostatistician at the Oncology Products Division at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) where among other activities, he was responsible for analyzing submissions containing meta-analytic designs, as well as utilizing such designs to evaluate submissions in which metaanalyses are needed for evaluation of the merits of the data submitted by sponsors
Vincent Ahonkhai, MD

Dr. Vincent Ahonkhai is currently a Senior Regulatory Officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle Washington. He has recently retired as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Prior to that, he was Vice President, Global Clinical Safety & Pharmacovigilance, GSK, and Vice President & Director, Clinical R&D and Medical Affairs for Anti-Infectives and Biologicals, former SmithKline Beecham. He also held senior level positions at Merck and R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute (J&J), in product development encompassing Phase I to Phase V programs and Medical Affairs. His expertise includes U.S., and global drug development in multiple therapeutic areas.
Dr Ahonkhai is a physician with specialty training as a Pediatrician prior to joining the Pharmaceutical Industry. Dr Ahonkhai brings to Customized Therapeutics many years of experience in different capacities in the Pharmaceutical Industry, as well as a physician's perspective to pharmaceutical product development.
Unyime Nseyo, MD

Dr. Nseyo is the Chief of Urologic Oncology at the University of Florida's Malcolm Randle Veteran's Administration Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He brings a wealth of experience in surgical management of prostate and bladder cancer and has been in clinical practice for over 28 years. Dr Nseyo brings surgical expertise as well as access to prostate cancer tissue specimens from Richmond Virginia, a city with a high African American population, as well as patients from the VA Hospital in Florida. Dr. Nseyo received his MD degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Medicine, and Urology and surgical training from Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Albany Medical Center Hospital and the University of Missouri Hospitals and Health centers.

Kolapo is a Sales Operations Analyst at Brocade Communications in San Jose, CA. Brocade is a leading provide of computer networking hardware. At Brocade, he is responsible for training and administration of the company's Customer Relationship Management system as well as revenue forecasting for the 200 member North America Sales team. Prior to Brocade, he was a Business Operations Analyst at Yahoo in Sunnyvale. At Yahoo, he played a key role in the deployment of a state of the art project portfolio management application for one of the business units. Kolapo holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Gordon S. Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. While attending USC, Kolapo completed internship programs at Fund Management Inc. and at Intuit. At Fund Management, his role involved demand generation and lead qualification for the commercial banking lead generation firm. As a territory sales representative for Intuit, his duties involved product presentations and demand planning for the company's market leading small business and personal finance software.

He has considerable experience and expertise in the application of genetically engineered and optical probes for biomedical applications. Channing Ahn, PhD
Expertise: Nanoparticle Synthesis and Characterization
Dr. Ahn is a Senior Research Associate of Materials Science in the Division of Engineering and Applied Science at California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena (CA). He also serves as a lecturer for Beginning and Advanced Electron Microscopy. His current research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of nanophase solids, especially metals. His expertise includes Electron Microscopy and Metal Oxide nanoparticle synthesis and characterization.
He previously collaborated with the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) that combines fine structure analysis with Reflection High Energy Electron Diffraction (RHEED) methods to study atomic constituents at surfaces. He worked at Gatan Inc., Pleasanton (CA) on their research and development team, before joining Caltech.
Danut Dragoi, PhD

Dr. Dragoi is a research scientist with extensive experience in materials science, and synthesis and characterization of iron-oxide nanoparticles. Dr. Dragoi earned a PhD in Materials Science, and was a professor at California Institute of Technology teaching Material Science. He was also a Post-Doctoroal Fellow at the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab in Pasadena, and was a senior researcher at the Science and Technology Corporation - Sensor Group developing a miniaturized Mass Spectrometer.
Augustine Esogbue, PhD
Expertise: Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Neural Networks and Fuzzy Sets
Dr. Esogbue is a Professor in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Director of the Intelligent Systems and Controls Laboratory which is currently investigating a hybrid approach to intelligent control via fuzzy sets and neural networks. He is also a key member of the NASA's Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel. He is considerably involved in a number of civic activities locally in Atlanta and globally. Dr. Esogbue has received multiple national and international honors and awards including the NASA Public Service medal and Outstanding Citizen of Georgia and Goodwill Ambassador awards for his work
Bishun Khare, PhD
Expertise: Carbon Nanotubes
Dr. Khare PhD is a research scientist at NASA Ames Research lab and the SETI Institute and has over 40 years of experience in Physics, Astronomy and Carbon nanotube technology. He brings extensive experience in Single Wall Nanotube preparation, characterization and functionalization. Dr. Khare has also been involved in the design and construction of growth apparatus for selective growth of single wall carbon nanotubes with specific diameter and chirality. His other research includes Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), carbon nanotube growth, characterization and applications in nanodevices and sensors. Dr. Khare has supervised students from Santa Clara University, San Jose State, and Ohlone Community College who have worked with him on various SWNT functionalization and radiation effect studies
Rakesh Nagarajan, MD, PhD
Dr. Nagarajan is an Instructor in the Department of Pathology Bioinformatics Core Group at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Mo. The primary goals of Dr Nagarajan’s lab are to conduct clinical and biomedical informatics research, to develop software applications which will simultaneously co-analyze and co-visualize a wide variety of functional genomics datasets, gene annotation, and pathological data, and to utilize these heuristic algorithms in order to identify potential diagnostic markers and putative therapeutic targets
Edward Newman, PhD

Dr. Newman is a member and an Associate Professor of Molecular Medicine at the City of Hope Cancer Center, Duarte (CA). His expertise include biochemistry and pharmacology. Dr. Newman heads research programs at the City of Hope focusing on the development of novel DNA inhibitors for cancer therapy; early clinical trials of NCI sponsored therapeutic compounds, and Phase I Molecular and Clinical Pharmacodynamic trials. Santosh Srivastava, PhD

Dr. Srivastava is the founder of "Contemporary Device Company, Inc." and is currently developing a portable miniaturized Mass Spectrometer for Proteomic studies. Prior to founding his company, Dr. Srivastava was a Principal Scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), California Institute of Technology (Caltech), and an "Associate" employee of Science and Technology Corporation, Hampton (VA). He is also an adjunct professor of chemistry in the joint sciences department of Claremont McKenna College, Claremont (CA).
Dr. Srivastava has over 35 years of research and development experience in the field of experimental physics and chemistry. He is a recognized expert in the field of electron impact processes that involve expertise in the areas of electron beam producing devices, methods of charged particle detection, counting methods such as photon counting techniques. He has extensive experience in the field of optical devices such as optical spectrometers, filters, polarizers, photon detectors, microchannel plates, light sources, optical coatings, night vision devices etc. He has many years of experience in the field of mass spectrometry, especially in the design and operation of time-of- flight (TOF) and quadrupole mass spectrometers. He has built several of them for different research investigations.
He has been a principal investigator of research programs at JPL with sponsorship from NASA, EPA, AFOSR, ONR, and ARO. He was awarded "Exceptional Achievement Medal" of NASA, in June 1998 in recognition of his research. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society, member of American Society of Mass Spectrometry, member of SPIE, member of Sigma Xi, member of the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi.
